Inside Zlatan’s Electrifying Trace Live Session in Lagos #TraceLiveZlatan
Last night, Lagos witnessed an electrifying edition of Trace Live as Zlatan Ibile sang it all at the highly anticipated first major Headlined Trace Live Session of the year.

Held at Terra Kulture, the event delivered a rich fusion of live music, culture, and high energy from start to finish with big references to ZANKU's latest album - SYMBOL OF HOPE.
The night opened with a captivating Afrobeats live band session by the Alternate Sound, setting the tone with a vibrant, rhythmic performance. With Jerry Shaffer on hypeman duties, the experience felt like a live DJ mix—fluid, energetic, and instantly engaging, drawing the crowd fully into the atmosphere.
The audience was equally star-studded, with notable appearances by Poco Lee, Seun Pizzle, Mc Hardvantage, Papisnoop among others, adding to the night’s vibrant social presence.

Zlatan’s performance stood out as the defining moment of the night. Taking the stage with the ALTERNATE LIVE BAND, he delivered an impressive three-hour set—powered entirely by hit records from past and recent albums. In fact, despite the extended performance, his catalog proved so deep that he couldn’t even run through all his songs. Each track performed resonated strongly with the crowd, reinforcing his consistency and influence over his 9 years in the industry
(PS: HE WILL BE CELEBRATING HIS 10 YEARS ON STAGE BY DECEMBER.)

Backed by live instrumentation and refined vocal delivery, Zlatan showcased noticeable growth in his artistry. The synergy between his vocals, backup singers, and the band created a rich, layered sound that elevated his performance beyond the typical set. It was a clear indication that he is more than ready for the global stage, especially with his upcoming live band concerts scheduled for June and July in the UK.

Adding to the experience, Zlatan brought out special guests including Bhadboi OML, Jeriq, Qinq Madi, alongside familiar faces like Poco Lee and Seun Pizzle, turning the show into a celebration of collaborations and crowd-favorite anthems.

In a unique backstage moment, an artist creatively crafted an upside-down art piece inspired by Zlatan during the concert—an artistic highlight that reflected the cultural impact and influence he commands within the creative community.

Organized by Trace Live and ZANKU RECORDS, with support from Goldberg and Lord's Dry Gin, the event stood out as a well-curated live music experience that blended performance, culture, and community seamlessly.
For those who missed it, the full live session is available on YouTube—an experience that truly comes alive on screen.
